GERD or gastroesophageal reflux disease in which stomach acids enter your mouth by reflex action or gag.
Any medications especially high blood pressure medicines lead to BMS.
Any psychological disorder like stress or anxiety also lead to BMS issues.
Bruxism is another case in which BMS is seen, moreover any other oral habits like lip biting, mouth breathing etc also causes BMS.
How can we prevent BMS?
BMS needs more of a preventive approach rather than curing because the underlying causes are very vague in nature.
